Taylor Swift: Pop Sensation Registers Trademark “TAYLOR-CON”

Pop sensation Taylor Swift has been making headlines lately. Known for her exclusive focus on music, she has surprisingly registered the trademark “TAYLOR-CON.” According to TMZ, Taylor intends to use the trademark for various purposes, including music-related merchandise, novelty gifts, kitchenware, fashion apparel, handbags, and stationery. With this strategic move, she aims to expand her brand’s product offerings and compete with other female artists in the lucrative market of derivative merchandise.

Taylor, who is both a talented songwriter and performer, stands out as one of the few female artists who have amassed immense wealth solely through their music. In a recent publication by “Life & Style” magazine, Taylor ranked fourth on Hollywood’s billionaires list, with a fortune of $1.1 billion. While Jay-Z, the African-American rapper, socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian, and pop diva Rihanna take the top three spots, they have diversified into other ventures. However, in terms of musical influence, Taylor is considered a close second to none.

Interestingly, this isn’t Taylor’s first foray into trademark registrations. She previously registered “Midnights” in 2012, which shares similar content with her latest registration for “TAYLOR-CON.” Additionally, about six years ago, Taylor also registered trademarks for her beloved cats, Meredith and Olivia Swift. However, there have been no significant commercial activities related to these trademarks to date. In a twist, Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis, has also been actively applying for new trademarks, including his social media handles, signature catchphrases, and even a cereal brand. It appears that Travis is seeking to join forces with Taylor to create more lucrative business opportunities.
